In addition to curating many independent projects over the years, she worked at Christie's Auction house in the Post-War and Contemporary department and at numerous primary and secondary art market galleries in New York, including Barbara Mathes, Zabriskie and Mike Weiss Gallery, where she was director.  Sarah Belden also worked as private collections manager for the Emily and Jerry Spiegel Collection in New York and has consulted on numerous projects in the U.S. and Europe, including the non-profit venture DIVA, the first digital and video art fair in the United States, and more commercial ventures such as Art Athina, the International Contemporary Art Fair in Athens.

In 2006 Sarah Belden launched Curators Without Borders in Berlin, an innovative gallery and curatorial platform dedicated to exhibiting Contemporary Art. Here, she exhibited a diverse roster of international, emerging and mid-career artists.  Here she curated the annual exhibitions program and worked collaboratively with several art institutions, garnering international press and participating in exhibitions and art fairs around the world. Please visit Curators Without Borders for more info.

Sarah Belden has also curated several benefit auctions with Paddle8 - the premier online auction house for Contemporary Art, raising funds for climate change awareness with events in New York and Los Angeles for organizations such as 350.orgThe Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation
and The Greybeards in Rockaway, Queens, New York post-Hurricane Sandy.

More recently Sarah Belden worked as the International Liaison for Division Gallery in Toronto, Canada where she oversaw the galleries participation in international art fairs and organized exhibitions and events in Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City, and Dallas, forging partnerships with international galleries and institutions in order to bring Division Gallery and its artists to a wider international audience.

In 2017 Sarah Belden founded Unique Multiples headquartered in Madrid, Spain. Unique Multiples is a new Contemporary Art platform that offers curated Artists’ Editions that are authenticated using blockchain technology, proving provenance for physical and digital artworks that can be verified online and in real-time. This value-added service creates much-needed transparency for artists and collectors, especially as art is increasingly discovered, experienced, and sold online.

In collaboration with artists, Unique Multiples commissions and curates an exclusive series of museum-quality editioned art works in photography, sculpture, works on paper, prints, video, digital art, and new media. Periodically Unique Multiples introduces and releases new editions by international artists that are available for sale online. Unique Multiples promotes these editions with new and diverse digital avenues of dissemination and with institutions, partner galleries, curated exhibitions, international brick and mortar pop-ups, and art fairs.
